Senior Technical Lead / Senior .Net Developer - Seeking a senior technical lead and senior .Net developer responsible for the technical soundness of projects developed by company development staff. This is a senior technical position with a leader in IT consulting services in the Jacksonville market. This company has a solid reputation for delivering on-time, on-budget, and above expectations and this position will up-hold these values.  This position has a technical leadership role on the company's Architecture Review Committee and for multiple company projects.  Individual is responsible for the soundness of selected solution, code developed, and quality of progressive software development deliverables. Optimum candidate must be a continual self-learner on new technologies and be able to mentor/coach others.

Duties:

The Senior .Net Developer will provide coordination and guidance in the design, development and support of complex software solutions with responsibilities to include:

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code based on provided technical specifications and estimates
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's management and project teams
  • Designing and implementing component-based applications using the .Net Framework within established project schedules
  • Conducting technical reviews of all software deliverables
  • Mentoring other technical staff in their progressive growth
  • Defining system requirements, flows and interfaces based on customer needs
  • Defining interfaces required including protocols and methods of transmission
  • Developing technical specifications
  • Adhering to established methodologies while continuously analyzing processes for improved performance and maintainability
  • Developing test scripts, conducting unit testing and performing code reviews
  • Interface directly with Customers for troubleshooting and deployments of releases
  • Knowledge of IIS setup and management
  • Knowledge of SQL design, stored procedures, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • 7+ years of application development experience with VB.Net, C#.Net, and/or ASP.Net
  • Self-learner in new technology areas
  • Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, waterfall)
  • Demonstrated ability in object-oriented programming and design principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database design principles and best practices using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle
  • Demonstrated experience in Crystal Reports, Microsoft Report Writer, or other reporting tools
  • Development experience with databases including SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
  • Ability to work independently while cooperating, coordinating, and mentoring the overall team
  • Ability to focus on priorities, and exhibit enthusiasm for creating high-quality software products
  • Developing applications that are accessible and developed with end user usage scenarios in mind (Section 508 compliant, User-Centered Design)
  • Experience developing rich user interfaces using tools such as JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Experience with branching and merging in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
  • Business analysis techniques and experience gathering requirements
  • Required Technical Skills:  Visual Studio (incl. MVC, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap), T/SQL, linq
  • Desired Technical Skills:  SQL Server (incl. SSIS, SSRS, SSAS), Oracle, Crystal Reports

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, or CS
