Project Manager / Business Analyst


WiredPeople is searching for qualified candidates possessing both business analysis and project management expertise. Successful candidates will spend approximately 70% of their time standardizing the technology applications used within separate facilities spanning from Marianna, FL to Gainesville, FL. The remainder of their time will be devoted to assisting with the management of the organizational change taking place at the at these facilities.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead IT governance processes to ensure IT resources are aligned with established priorities.
  • Work with the application development teams and stakeholders to establish a consistent change management process
  • Perform market scans and system analysis to identify applications best suited to replace separate and obsolete software applications within the facilities
  • Manage the procurement, installation, and configuration of new applications
  • Provide leadership and support for the teams involved in standardizing the operations within the facilities
  • Conduct interviews and meetings with staff to gather requirements for systems within the facilities
  • Communicate clearly the status of new applications being installed at the facilities
  • Assist with the planning and procurement of contracted services to augment existing IT teams that support facility operations
  • Assist with strategic planning for IT applications for the facilities
  • Assist the executive management team with the development of Legislative Budget Requests

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with extensive project management experience
  • Knowledge of health care systems – particularly the clinical process model
  • Ability to prepare functional program specifications for complex business applications
  • Ability to communicate business information effectively and in writing to users and information technology personnel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
  • Knowledge of hospital operations
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to gather functional and non-functional system requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the procurement and contracting processes for IT systems
  • Ability to write technical documentation
  • Knowledge of generally accepted business principles, practices, and procedures
