.NET Software Engineer

Overview:

The .NET Software Engineer works closely with the client and an experienced project manager to design, develop and enhance multiple enterprise web systems.  This resource is responsible for providing technical expertise in recommending development principles, developing programming and leading troubleshooting and performance enhancement efforts.  The .NET Software Engineer is a team player with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems. QA background and skillsets are required for this opportunity.

 

Responsibilities:

The .Net Software Engineer will provide coordination and guidance in the design, development and support of complex management solutions with responsibilities to include:

  • Designing and implementing component-based applications using the .Net Framework within established project schedules
  • Defining system requirements, flows and interfaces based on customer needs
  • Developing software requirements specifications; project and risk management plans; and project timelines
  • Defining interfaces required and methods of transmission
  • Developing technical specifications
  • Adhering to established methodologies while continuously analyzing processes for improved performance and adaptability
  • Developing test scripts and conducting unit testing
  • Assisting Project Manager with developer team coordination throughout the project's lifecycle
  • Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the customer's management and project teams

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS, or CS 
  • QA background and skills are required.
  • 5+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years ASP.NET, C#, and N-tiered architecture development or MVC
  • 1 year experience developing in Business Warehouse, SAP ECC, Enterprise Portals, SAP CRM Case Management, SAP ABAP programming
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Experience working with Business on Requirements clarification and design
  • Experience with the DORs current technology landscape
  • Ability to perform analysis and make recommendations for best business solutions
  • Consulting skills with an ability to analyze business requirements, needs, objectives and map them to best practices
  • Ability to translate business requirements into specific process improvements along with any measurable benefits
  • Ability to analyze business problems from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems within the application and do root cause analysis to implement fixes
  • Ability to analyze software application performance and to provide recommendations for improvement
  • Ability to provide ad-hoc requests for data
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Knowledge of data resource management principles and techniques including data administration, data modeling, entity-relationship modeling, data definition and data dictionaries
  • Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis
  • Ability to understand and perform development testing on images and transference of images to data
  • Ability to identify and resolve data flow and content issues
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to improvement of operational and management practices
  • Ability to organize data into logical formats
  • Ability to generate briefing papers, issue papers, other management reports, and presentations when required
  • Knowledge of data integrity,data base construction, data management, and data analysis and data cleansing principles and practices
  • "Subject matter" knowledge of communications planning and execution
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research
  • Ability to plan, organize, document, lead, and facilitate meetings and follow up activities
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
