Zika Epidemiology and Data Quality Manager
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Weekly basic and extended data queries of Zika data related to pregnant women and their infants and local cases to assess for data completeness and accuracy, including attachment of key medical records.
Prepare and email weekly reports to relevant state and county health department staff.
Provide education for county health department staff related to Zika and follow-up on potentially congenitally exposed infants and local cases.
Develop and update written guidance related to investigations of congenitally exposed infants and local cases.
Distribute guidance to all county health departments and updated associated web pages.
Provide Zika extended data queries related to symptoms, risk factors and other key factors upon request of leadership, unit members, or other stakeholders in requested format (line list, table, graph, etc.).
Retrieve data, convert into requested format for electronic delivery to the requester.
Standard requests should be prepared and delivered within one business day (highly complex requests may take longer); high priority requests should be prepared and delivered the same day.
Completion of Masters in Public Health (MPH) with an emphasis on epidemiology and/or biostatistics
Completion of one course each related to SAS, SPSS and statistical analysis software packages.
Two years epidemiology and data management experience including completion of an epidemoiology project with statistical analysis of large data sets.
Two years of formal training or work in the epidemiology field.
Two years of experience conducting interviews.
Two years Microsoft Office professional including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
One year experience producing written reports summarizing findings from statistical analysis.
One year of experience providing training to staff.
